Now that aaron diaz has confirmed that he hired an “assistant” for his comic, it’s time to play a new game:

What did diaz draw, and what did his new ghost artist draw?

In this, it seems a little obvious I think.  It appears this assistant is doing most of the heavy lifting.

As far as the dialogue, it appears to be quite obvious foreshadowing that the city is not actually a stone ruin but a giant old benevolent life form that will come alive due to kimiko thunderjugs’ technomagic later in the comic.  Most likely the evil bad guys who run the city will try to destroy the giant, kimoki will fight them to help protect the giant, the city will be wrecked, and she will move on as the giant flies off into outer space unceremoniously.
